WHAT GOES INTO ONE.

Small vintage sports cars offer a driving experience that is direct, intimate, and increasingly difficult to find. At Vintage Supercars, we preserve that essential character while carefully developing each car to support the performance and presence of an American V8.

THE RECIPE

Small vintage sports cars offer a driving experience that is direct, intimate, and increasingly difficult to find. At Vintage Supercars, we preserve that essential character while carefully developing each car to support the performance and presence of an American V8.

Chassis01

The chassis

The chassis is developed around the demands of each individual car. Depending on the application, that may mean strengthening and refining the original structure or creating an entirely new foundation. In every case, the goal is the same: a chassis capable of managing the power while remaining usable, predictable, and suited to the way its owner intends to drive.

Suspension02

Suspension

The suspension systems are developed alongside the power and intended use of each car. Wherever practical, we use independent suspension at both ends, reserving a live axle for applications where it genuinely serves the car better. Original components are rarely left untouched. Geometry, damping, spring rates, and steering are brought together to create a car that feels composed, responsive, and fully capable of using the performance available to it.

Brakes03

Brakes

The braking system is developed around the weight, power, tire capacity, and intended use of each car. Depending on the application, that may mean carefully upgrading the original arrangement or engineering an entirely new system. Rotor size, caliper selection, pedal feel, balance, cooling, and serviceability are considered together so the car stops with the same confidence and control with which it accelerates.

Engine & Transmission04

Engine & transmission

Modern American V8s are at the heart of most Vintage Supercars. LS, Coyote, and Hemi engines offer the power, reliability, drivability, and parts support needed to make these cars genuinely usable. They are typically paired with modern manual or automatic transmissions selected around the car and the way it will be driven. When a more traditional look and character are important, we are equally comfortable building around a period engine and gearbox. The choice may change, but the goal remains the same: a powertrain that feels fully integrated into the car.

Aesthetics05

The aesthetics

Our approach begins with the proportions and character of the original car. Every change should feel purposeful, with function guiding the shape, materials, and details. Modern components and conveniences are integrated quietly, allowing the car to remain visually connected to its period without pretending that nothing has changed. Interiors, instruments, trim, and body details are developed around the individual build, with fully bespoke design available when the car calls for it. The finished car should feel considered rather than decorated. The power may be unmistakable, but the design should never need to shout.

The driving experience06

The driving experience

Power is only one part of the experience. Every Vintage Supercar is developed around the way its owner intends to use it, with the steering, suspension, brakes, tires, seating position, and controls working together. The finished car should feel immediate and mechanical, while remaining composed and usable enough to drive often and for distance.
