Triable at the Targa Rally
We take on the Targa Florio with pure American Muscle in Sicily.
The Targa
Vintage Supercars offers an all‑in logistics and prep service for participants in the official Targa Florio rally. Unlike our independent Mille event, this program places your car directly into the Targa Florio entry list and relies on the race organizer for route management, marshals, timing, and on‑route support. We manage international shipping, temporary import/carnet, local storage, and final rally prep so you can focus on the driving and the event experience.
Vehicle eligibility & prep
Vehicles must meet the Targa Florio organizer’s technical and eligibility rules. We assist with documentation and pre‑qualifying inspections.
Recommended upgrades: adequate brakes, cooling, tires, and safety equipment per organizer requirements. Our shop offers prep packages to bring cars into compliance.
It’s for:

FAQs
Will my car be an official entrant in the Targa Florio?
Yes — we work with the Targa Florio organizers to place your car on the official entry list, subject to organizer acceptance and compliance with their scrutineering rules.
Do you provide on‑route support during the rally?
No. On‑route support (marshalling, recovery, medical) is provided by the Targa Florio organization. We provide pre‑rally prep, final checks, and transport to the official paddock/start.
What insurance do I need?
Participants must carry appropriate international vehicle insurance and motorsport/motorsport‑adjacent cover as required by the Targa Florio regulations. We can recommend brokers and policy language; personal travel insurance is separate.
Can you prepare a resto‑mod or muscle car to meet Targa Florio requirements?
Yes. Our shop can perform sympathetic upgrades and safety installations (brakes, suspension, fire suppression, harnesses, etc.) to meet organizer standards. We’ll provide a detailed quote after inspection.
How do customs, carnets, and paperwork work?
We handle temporary import documents and carnet processing when needed, plus customs clearance. You’ll need to provide ownership documents, registration, and ID as requested; we’ll guide the timeline and required originals.
What happens if my car needs repairs during the event?
The Targa Florio organizer manages on-route recovery and may provide local mechanical support. Major repairs may be performed by local specialists at owner expense. We can arrange pre-event spares and recommended local garages for post-event service.
What level of driving experience is required?
Participants should be comfortable driving high‑performance and manual‑transmission cars on narrow, sometimes fast public roads. Prior rallying, track days, or spirited touring experience is strongly recommended. We run driver briefings and offer lead/sweep support.
